How does it work?

✳️ Hard water (containing large amounts of calcium and magnesium salts) flows through the ion exchange bed in the cartridge. As a result, Ca 2+ Mg²⁺ ions are exchanged for sodium ions from the bed and the water is softened. Thanks to this, the problem of limescale and unpleasant stains on the fittings is eliminated.

State-of-the-art softening cartridges filled with ion exchange resin. Designed to ensure optimal water-to-bed contact and effectively reduce the problem of hard water in the household.

The cartridges are filled with fine-grained ion exchange granules (cationite in sodium form) with a high exchange capacity of calcium and magnesium ions.

The use of the ST series cartridge will help to reduce the problem of hard water in your household. The cartridge has been designed by UST-M engineers in such a way as to allow maximum contact time between water and the bed. The water flows through the cartridge axially (from bottom to top), remaining in contact with the filter bed for longer. This fact, combined with the high ion exchange capacity of the bed, means that the water is deprived of virtually all calcium and magnesium ions after passing through the cartridge. As a result, less detergent is used during washing, the tea tastes better, and there is no unpleasant sediment and streaks on the cups and fittings.
