How does it work?
Contaminated water flows through the cartridge towards its core. The deposits contained in it are retained by micropores, the diameter of which decreases towards the interior. Large particles are captured at the surface, while small ones are captured in deeper layers. This increases the effective surface area, filtration efficiency and cartridge life.
Carbon, due to its porous structure, is an excellent filter material. Chemicals contained in water flowing through the activated carbon layer are captured (adsorbed) in the pores and the result is clean, toxin-free water.
