2-way ball valve with BEV actuator, DN20

Use

BEV ball valves are designed for water, central heating or air conditioning systems as shut-off elements. The ball valves are controlled by an SPST (2-point) signal and can be activated from any thermostat or switch.

Description and operation

BEV ball valves consist of two main elements - a valve and an electric actuator. The valve actuator is mounted using a metal buckle (fig. 2) in valves DN15 ÷ DN32. The BEV 230 V 2-way shut-off valve is a normally closed (NC) valve. After connecting it according to the electrical diagram (Fig. 3), which is also on the actuator and in the instruction manual, when the voltage is applied only to the brown wire, the valve will remain closed. After applying voltage to the brown and black wire, the valve will open. After removing the voltage from the black wire, the valve returns to the initial (closed) position.

Thanks to the innovative design of the actuators, they can rotate the valve ball 360° in both directions. In the event that during the change of position of the valve there is another request to change the position, the actuator does not stop and does not change the direction of rotation, but rotates the ball further in the same direction until it reaches the set position. This ensures a quick response to the sudden need to change positions. If something blocks the ball and the valve is unable to close the flow, the actuator will start to rotate the ball in the other direction. This ensures that contaminants that may have blocked the flow will be passed further and the actuator will not be damaged. This leads to an increase in the service life of the actuator.
