Action

If the pressure in the domestic hot water preparation system does not exceed 6 bar, the MSW safety valve, which is part of the BSB safety group, remains closed. An increase in pressure above the valve activation value causes the movement of its diaphragm and exposure of the passage enabling the removal of excess medium from the system and at the same time lowering the pressure to the appropriate (safe) value. The pressure at which the valve will open is set at the factory and amounts to 6 bar. The knob located at the very top of the MSW safety valve allows temporary manual opening of its passage at a pressure lower than the pressure of the safety valve in order to check its correct operation.

Purpose of the device

The BSB safety group is used to protect domestic hot water installations with a capacity not exceeding 111.5 kW and a maximum storage volume of up to 200 l. The group is equipped with a connection to an expansion vessel with a capacity of up to 25 l, a safety valve MSW protecting against pressure increase in the system over 6 bar, a manometer for pressure control.

Device description

The body of the BSB safety group is made of brass. The safety group has a mounting bracket for attaching it to the wall with dowels and screws. The unit is designed for diaphragm vessels with a capacity of up to 25 l and a diameter of not more than 320 mm. The safety group is available with a quick coupler (Art.-No. 90 621 00) and without a quick coupler (Art.-No. 90 620 00
