The buffer tank accumulates the heat generated by various heating devices. Hot water accumulated in the tank is later used to supply the central heating system. Buffer tank without coil allows you to reduce the frequency of switching on the central heating boiler or heat pump and maintain a stable temperature in the installation.  At the same time, it acts as a so-called clutch in the installation and protects the system against overheating. It is an indispensable element of any central heating system. It is designed to  increase the efficiency and durability of central heating systems. It allows simultaneous supply of the building with devices that work in an open and closed power supply system. It can be powered from several heat sources at the same time, including a central heating boiler, fireplace or heat pump.

Proven design

The SG(B) buffer tank design ensures maximum heat utilization. Hydraulic connections located at the entire height allow you to supply the heating system with different temperatures of the heating medium. The buffer tank is made of durable, black carbon steel. This allows the buffer to work at pressure max. up to 0.3MPa (0.6MPa for special executions).

Convenient installation

All connections are concentrated on one side of the tank. This simplifies the installation and maintenance of the buffer and further reduces the amount of space occupied in the boiler room.  With such a construction, it is possible to mount the buffer close to the wall. On the same side, a temperature sensor is also installed and optional steel or copper tinned coils (applies to buffers with a capacity of 3000-5000 liters). Coils installed in the upper and lower parts significantly reduce the time of heating water.

The boiler water tank (buffer) is designed for storage of demineralized boiler water or glycol solution. Their use ensures the operation of the system with the highest efficiency and extends the durability of the device.

Installation comfort and low operating costs are also improved by the use of insulation with:

• Hard polyurethane foam (type 200-500)
• Demountable insulation Neodul® (type 800-2000)
• Soft demountable polyurethane foam (type 3000-5000)

"Black buffers" SG(B) are offered in a housing made of PVC film, in gray (insulated tanks) or without insulation (painted with primer).

Tailor-made tanks

The capacity, number, location and diameter of connection connectors are parameters that can be selected individually for each investment. These tanks are made to the individual order of the investor after consultation with the technical department of GALMET.

The durability of the SG(B) "black buffers" and resistance to large temperature fluctuations make them also the basis for chilled water production installations (hard polyurethane foam insulation).
