The strainer, anti-sand filter is used for effective purification of water from sand and impurities up to 120 microns. Thanks to the use of this filter, we protect the pump against seizure of the rotors. Thanks to the use of a filter, we do not have to worry that our pump will seize. By unscrewing the bottom cover from the filter, we can easily remove and rinse the cartridge under running water and use it several times. In order not to drain water from the installation during the filter flushing, it is worth installing a ball valve between the filter and the pump.

Filters of this type are often mounted with surface pumps to protect the hydraulic part from mechanical contaminants with abrasive properties.

The mesh insert protects against mechanical impurities of an abrasive nature, i.e. sand, but not against water deposits like iron. The main advantage is the durability of the structure, thanks to which both the housing and the insert serve for many years.

Inside there is a reusable cartridge, so it is necessary to clean it, e.g. by rinsing - you can remove the cartridge and then rinse under pressure. The housing is made of impact- and chemical-resistant plastic.

Strainers are used in agriculture, irrigation, horticulture and domestic use to protect the pump and installation against the ingress of contaminants.
