The BVTS thermostatic valve is used in heating systems as a protection for fireplaces and solid fuel boilers. The valve prevents the boiler from overheating by discharging water from the heater or condensing coil. BVTS also protects against flashback to the solid fuel feeder by flooding the fuel in the event of excessive temperature rise. BVTS is a self-actuating valve, i.e. it operates without electricity or compressed air supply.

Do not expose to direct fire. Failure to follow the recommendation may damage the valve and void the warranty.

The BVTS thermostatic valve is activated by an increase in temperature. The valve consists of two permanently integrated

The valve is adjusted to open at a sensor temperature of 95ºC. The valve setpoint is fixed and cannot be changed by the user. When the temperature around the sensor rises, the filling of the sensor will also heat up, causing the pressure to rise. This pressure is transferred through the capillary to the bellows and acts on the valve. At a sensor temperature of 95ºC, the pressure in the bellows becomes greater than the pressure of the valve spring, so the stem rises opening the valve.

  • The STRAŻAK I automatic water extinguishing system is a protection against the backflow of the flame into the fuel feeder pipe. It is carried out independently of the power supply based on a thermostatic valve. In the event of a dangerous temperature rise (above 95°C) in the fuel supply system, the valve is opened and the water from the tank located next to the boiler flows by gravity to the fuel feeder, extinguishing the fire.
